Noodles?

Good morning ya'll.

Monday morning, what a feeling! My feelings go out to all those school kids who are trudging back to classes this week, it must be heart wrenching. I didn't even get holidays so no complaining!

You may have noticed that today we've taken down the YouTube video on our myspace of the "Bad Bush" which featured our single "Battles Begun". This is because we needed room for the latest (and greatest?) product our song is featuring in. Today Caleb Skips Chemistry is proud to announce that our song has been picked for the 'Fantastic Noodles Intense Wave Invitational 2009' competition. Our banger "Battles Begun" is the track that is playing in their ad, which will be featuring on their website, and on national television (channel 10).

As you can imagine, we're all pretty chuffed here in the CSC camp. It's the first time we've been broadcast nationally since we got played on Triple J last year. To celebrate our recent success, we wanted to thank everyone who has been helping us with banners, and votes on the JJJ unearthed site. This is because, as we've been told, they found our track on the JJJ charts - which you guys helped us scale oh so highly.

Coincidentally, some of the Artwork for our tour has been completed in the same week. We've got a brand new banner that we're featuring on our myspace page; along with the new 30second fantastic noodle add. The code for the new banner (and the old one) is on our MySpace, so hit it up if you wana P.I.M.P your layouts.

We've got several gigs confirmed now, and we will be announcing tour dates and supports in the near future. On thursday and friday we're going back into the studio and finishing Guitars and Vocals for the EP. With deadlines approaching its great to see we're nearly done.. and the final product is shaping up to be tre' ssssexy (Y).
Until the next week, heres a vid of Fantastic Noodles ad.

Fantastic huh?

Peaceful Quiet Protest

Good evening!
It’s good to hear from you again.
As our second post it’s pretty important that we establish what we’ve been up to of late.

Of course we’ve been doing some solid jamming for the upcoming tour, every Wednesday and Sunday. We’ve been tightening up a few nuts and bolts, and we’ve even written a new song. (The working title is Peaceful Quiet Protest). It’s a pretty heavy endeavour, but since when were our tunes not?

In preparation for the EP and tour Sam and Tom have been working closely with Luke Oliver, our graphic designer, and I’m sure it’s safe to say we’ve got a very cool new logo and look for the tour. You’ll be able to get a good look at the final copies of the tour poster in a few weeks.
We’re also in the process of sorting out tour dates with promoters ‘Pixie Music Productions’ who will be helping us launch the EP and tour. Rumour has it that the EP launch itself will be on a student night at the Cambridge hotel sometime in late September. So make sure you keep your eyes out for the tour dates when they are all official. We’re hoping to do both All Ages and 18+ gigs during the tour, so we can share our new CD with everyone!

The actual recording of the EP has been going great! We’ve completed all the Drums and Bass, and we’ve finished rhythm guitar for 3 out of the 4 new tracks. Gareth Hudson, (our producer and sound engineer) has been in England for the past few weeks, so we’ve had to put recording on hold. But we’re scheduled to finish very soon now that he’s back in the country.

And finally; Caleb Skips Chemistry will be releasing its own range of Merchandise, Including: T-Shirts, Stickers, and Pencils. We’ll have prices, and photo’s in a few weeks when everything is finalised.
Also, don't forget our upcoming show at the 'Slam Jam' skate factory. It's an all ages show, it'll be quite exciting. Not sure who else is playing, but we'll let you know the line-up as soon as we know. And a BIG thankyou, to everyone who's been putting up our current Banner on their myspace's, or linking to our page. Everything helps! :)

Until next time, stay safe and don’t eat anything that I wouldn’t.

what happening?

Hey all.
Today is the day that CSC moves into the digital age, and spreads its wings further than just Myspace.
We've set up several accounts around the internet and are going to be posting relevent information on each of them. This is so you can find exactly what you want, when you want it when it comes to your absolute favourite band.

We've got a Youtube, BlogSpot, Twitter, Triple-J-Unearthed and of course the Myspace. Each of which is going to be fully up and running in the very near future.

http://www.calebmusic.blogspot.com/
this is replacing our myspace blog. you'll hear about everything thats happening in the Caleb Skips Chemistry camp. there are quite a few exciting tales to be told very soon. so keep your ears peeled.

www.triplejunearthed.com/calebskipschemistry1
heres our triple j account. you can download our songs for free here. (wow!) and there is also a charting system where any of our fans can rate our songs. if we get high enough ratings there is a possibility of being played on national radio!

www.myspace.com/calebskipschemistry
this the the party-hub of CSC. you can listen to our songs, follow links to all our web sources, look for upcoming shows, read our bulletins, contact us, check out photo's and find likeminded, sexy individuals. (we only talk to beautiful human specimen.)

http://www.twitter.com/calebmusic1
the twitter is a useful site where you can quickly see what we're upto, and what important new things are happening. for example i might post up there that our song 'battles begun' may be being placed in the surfest adverts in Channel Ten. or that we've just seen the movie Bad Bush. or that one of us has fallen off our bike.

so there you have it.
a fairly run of the mill first blog, but what you going to do?
tune in next week.
